Maâlem Abdelkader Amlil

Biography

Rabat-based maâlem; one of the longest-running guembri masters of his generation. Trained with Oulad Abdenbi and shared the stage extensively with H'mida Boussou. Plays both intimate acoustic lila settings and contemporary fusion contexts, with documented collaborations alongside Majid Bekkas exploring Gnawa/blues. Regular at festivals in Morocco and abroad, notably Sons d'hiver in Paris.
