Mahmoud Guinia — msawi
Mahmoud Guinia's tuning-formula opening — Sum 2012 Figure 4.6(b), nine systems played in sequence as the dissertation prints them. The msawi is rubato; the step durations here are stand-ins so you can follow the pitch sequence rather than Mahmoud's exact phrasing (Audio 4.2 in the dissertation is the ground truth). Same-pitch double-strikes (e.g. (4 4)) play as two successive notes (down + up); differing pitches struck together (e.g. (1 4), (7 8)) play as simultaneous notes on their respective strings.
